The Golyama River, a right tributary of the Luda Kamchia River, originates in the southern vicinity of the village.

In the village of Zaychar by 2020 there is: a functioning municipal primary school “Nikola Yonkov Vaptsarov”, community center “Far – 1952” and a post office.

The surroundings around the village are extremely beautiful.
