Maharata Cave is of rare geological origin for the region. In 1973 it was declared a natural landmark.<\/p>\n

The length of the Maharata is 244 meters, the displacement is – 23 meters and the altitude is 199 meters.<\/p>\n

Relatively little is known about the cave. It is believed to have been an ancient Thracian sanctuary of the Mother Goddess, representing a system of underground galleries. Access to these galleries is impossible today due to the collapse of a rock mass. \u0410ccessible is only the main gallery.<\/p>\n
